Welcome to our historic North Georgia Wedding Venue! They say you can’t know where you’re going until you know where you came from. We came to Ball Ground two years ago as Something New for I Do, a wedding public relations and marketing company. We got our start in this quaint city working with a local wedding venue in an effort to increase bookings and sales. Through our success, new opportunities for other wedding vendors and small business owners were born.
Ball Ground was good to us, so we decided to plant roots and opened a studio for North Georgia wedding vendors to gather, collaborate and meet with brides. We found the perfect building that was once the A.W. Roberts and Sons General Store. Our building became filled with wedding professionals’ products and services, so we soon expanded into the warehouse. After realizing the potential of the buildings, we restored the buildings to create two beautiful event spaces.
Built in 1911, The Corner District served as Ball Ground’s general store until 1970 when the family sold it. It was reopened in the 1980s and operated as an antique store until 2010 when it was purchased and rehabilitated. The Corner District is an eclectic North Georgia Wedding Venue and event space that has been thoughtfully restored to meet the needs of today’s brides. We’ve added extra restrooms, a bridal suite, groom’s suite and details that create ambiance for the perfect evening. The Parlor has a vintage speakeasy feel, and the warehouse is the perfect combination of casual, urban and industrial.
As seasoned wedding professionals, we love telling the story of where we came from and are equally excited to now host special events to breathe new life into the general store.
